ABOUT

Laundry PDX opened in 2017, combining a passion for sports with the curation of high-quality vintage in Portland’s Eastside Industrial District. Filling a gap in the market for authentic, stylish team apparel, the boutique quickly caught on with sports enthusiasts and fashion lovers alike, drawn to its distinctive offerings and unique atmosphere.

From its inception, Laundry PDX focused on creating a diverse offering of vintage team wear, specializing in jerseys, caps, jackets, and accessories. Within several months, it was hailed by Willamette Week as “the most original vintage shop Portland has seen in years.”

Laundry PDX relocated to Portland’s Old Town Chinatown in 2019, quadrupling its footprint. As an anchor of the city’s streetwear district, the store hosted monthly art shows and special events, becoming a community hub for artists, designers, athletes, and fans.

During this time, Laundry PDX saw a flood of celebrity visitors and media attention. The company partnered with the Portland Trail Blazers to live airbrush t-shirts at Moda Center, hosted an in-store fashion activation for adidas Women’s Basketball, and filmed a CarMax commercial with C.J. McCollum. Laundry PDX also assisted with set decoration for Aminé’s “Woodlawn” music video, and helped style Odell Beckham Jr. in the “Laugh Now Cry Later” music video by Drake, which was filmed on Nike’s campus.

Celebrity visitors to Laundry PDX have included Travis Scott, Vince Staples, Jerry Lorenzo, Curren$y, Cordae, Aminé, Isaiah Thomas, C.J. McCollum, ASAP Twelvyy, Meghan Klingenberg, Eric Emanuel, Bol Bol, Anfernee Simons, Shaedon Sharpe, Pete Davidson, Gary Trent Jr., Evan Turner, George Fochive, Jeremy Ebobisse, Mason Plumlee, Zarek Valentin, Brennan Scarlett, Al Farouq Aminu, and more.

In 2022, Laundry PDX partnered with Elliott and Gina Hill to host an auction of jerseys and memorabilia for charity. The collection spanned Elliott Hill’s thirty-two years at Nike, where he started as an intern and retired as President. Both the preview reception and global live auction took place at the Bodecker Foundation. Combined with direct donations, including a $750,000 matching donation from the Hills, the event raised over $2 million dollars to create the Candace Newland Holley Scholarship—an endowment to support the education of students from St. Andrew Nativity School to Central Catholic High School.

Laundry PDX moved to the Alberta Arts District in 2023, teaming up with golf streetwear brand Muni Kids in its new location. Since opening on Alberta Street, the store has increased its focus on in-house production and customization, consulting on design projects with Nike and other brands, as well as local teams.

Together with Muni Kids, Laundry PDX founded LNDRY Street Circuit—a futsal series co-run by Street Soccer Portland—in 2024.

Laundry PDX also assists with Muni Kids’ street golf tour, which runs every Thursday from May until November.

While continuing to grow and diversify its collection of vintage sports apparel, in addition to hosting events such as concerts and game-day watch parties from its Northeast location, Laundry PDX has solidified its reputation as one of Portland’s top vintage stores, and the Pacific Northwest’s premier destination for those looking to celebrate their favorite teams in style.
